High Tor Guest House
High Tor guest house is an elegant 4 star Victorian town house set in the heart of the ancient North Yorkshire maritime town of Whitby. We are situated on Normanby Terrace which is close to the town centre, west cliff, beach and attractions. An ideal base from which to explore the town on foot, from the narrow cobbled streets to the foot of the 199 steps leading to the ancient Abbey and church yard of St. Mary's. Tina and Alan can assure you of a very warm welcome and the highest standards of cleanliness and hospitality, in a relaxed and friendly home from home. Breakfast is served in our sunny dining room with separate tables for each room, there are a variety of starters, followed by our hearty full English, or something lighter if requested. We also cater for special diets. For your added comfort we operate a no smoking policy throughout. All rooms are en-suite, which are double/twin and family rooms. Newly available are two large deluxe double rooms, one with a large re-fitted en-suite with twin, his and hers sinks and walk in shower. Tea and coffee making facilities, and generous hospitality trays are in each room as well as colour TV, radio alarms, hairdryers and shaver sockets.
