Whitby itself is approximately a mile away complete with marina where a selection of boats and yachts are moored; cobbled streets and a market place in the 'Old Town' lined by an excellent selection of shops, the Old Smoke House and of course the famous Abbey and church which can be accessed by 199 steps!
