Planned on four floors, the lower ground floor offers a well equipped kitchen and dining room with many integrated appliances. This floor also offers a breakfast and TV room with bed settee. The ground floor offers a low level W/C and handbasin with formal dining room and lounge. The 1st floor offers a bathroom with roll top bath W/C and handbasin, a single bedroom, and bunk/futon bedroom and double bedroom. The 2nd floor offers a double bedroom with king-size bed, en-suite shower room with cubicle, handbasin and W/C. The Explorers Rest is situated in the heart of Whitby in North Yorkshire. Whitby offers so much choice for adults and children alike. Why not take a walk along the beautiful blue flag sandy beach, where you can enjoy the clean seas, local marine wildlife, fascinating Jurassic cliffs and even get a donkey ride for the children. Or if you prefer the hustle and bustle of town, Whitby is also just the place to be! Winding cobbled streets provide an abundance of quaint shops, ye olde pubs and delicious award winning restaurants, as well as a host of live entertainment. The local museums including the Captain Cook Memorial and general Whitby Museum are home to a massive array of historical gems, including details on the life and times of one of the most famous explorers, and or the fascinating fishing past that has made Whitby the popular resort it is today.These sites, as well as Whitby Art Gallery, the famous Sutcliffe Gallery and heritage sites including the haunting Whitby Abbey would keep any historian entertained. From this home from home you are also just a few minutes in the car away from the North Yorkshire Moors, home to Goathland or 'Heartbeat' as some people know it, and the famous North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway, which featured in Harry Potter as the Hogwarts Express. Discover the picturesque fishing village of Robin Hoods Bay, where you can enjoy a glass of wine or an orange squash whilst overlooking the bay, or why not head North up to Runswick Bay, where you can enjoy some of the most breathtaking views from this part of the coast.
